What's the best mattress out there?

Hi,

Wife & I want to get a new queen sized mattress for our platform bed that doesn't require a box under the mattress. We both work erratic hours and value sleep highly. We are both young and do not have any back problems (yet).Looking to spend maximum $1000 (including tax and shipping) on a high quality mattress that will give us much needed REM cycles

What do bogleheads recommend or have experience with?

Please help.

I didn't find the right solution from the Internet.

  • Flatwater V10 sport paddler, very little wind/wave experience. Fit with good balance w/ instability pads and lake winds/river currents but not a fraction of Hood River conditions. So which clinic might be best used to get into downwind?
  • We are 3 paddlers from Hong Kong that registered and paid for the race but we are unable to make it this year. Does anyone want our entry registration spots at a discount? 2 men's entries and one ladies. Let me know if you are interested. jmclennan@indigo-living.com cheers John
